Raised back
The back wall sits higher than the front lip. Food pushed toward the back comes back down into the bowl instead of over the edge.
Curved inner wall
The sides curve inward rather than running straight up, so a nose working round the bowl keeps sweeping food back to the middle.
Moulded handle
A handle set into the side of the bowl, so you can carry it full without gripping the rim.
Non-slip base
Pads set into the underside hold the bowl on wood, tile and laminate — the floors where an ordinary bowl travels across the room.
